Last week members of The Lab, our in-house design team, made the trip up to London to experience the D&AD Global Creative Advertising & Design Festival 2018 (or D&AD Festival for short). Our Senior Designer Adam Hayes shares his reaction to the event.
Spread across the suitably utilitarian surrounding of the Old Truman Brewery in East London, the three-day event provides a meeting place for bright minds spanning all areas of creative practice and beyond.
Emerging themes of community-building, automation and social responsibility gave the festival a unified feel, even though the rich mix of sights and sounds to be absorbed were created by a sprawling cast of individuals and creative teams from across the country and internationally.
In the spirit of the festival, we’ve put together a visual essay that captures a little of the what it was all about. Enjoy!
