Getting to know our Pegasus Macclesfield team

Pharma Account Director Yasmin Ghariani headed back to her homelands to found our second UK office in Macclesfield. Here, she tells us a little bit about the new Pegasus faces.

So it’s official. Pegasus has a second home, in the North-westerly town of Macclesfield. Based in a converted silk mill with the River Bollin babbling past our windows, it’s a very different setting to the seaside location I’ve been used to over the last four years.

But it’s a return home for me, as I grew up just 40 miles away in the town of Chester. Our new location at Victoria Mill has brought us even closer to our new colleagues and friends at Ashfield – six of our group’s agencies are based here, with nine more just down the road.

This proximity has meant we’ve been able to tap into the wider services and expertise within the group, and we’ve already snapped up numerous opportunities to work collaboratively to support our mission to inspire healthy decisions.

And as a health communications hub, our North-west location means we’re close to some exciting clients (potential and existing) as well as a whole new pool of talent.

So, who are Team Macclesfield and what do you need to know about us?

Well there’s me, Yasmin. I have nearly ten years’ experience in health communications spanning most aspects of the pharma comms and marketing mix. I’ve worked across global and UK strategic communications briefs, and have a passion for media and digital comms. You’ll get my attention by talking about anything related to food and trashy TV.

Our second recruit was Kesha Tansey, an Account Director who joined us from Zoetic Science, an Ashfield agency. With a Masters in journalism, Kesha brings more than six years’ experience in healthcare communications working across oncology, vaccines and virology (to name just a few). Her recent Keswick Mountain trail run for charity is proof of her steely determination, and I’m sure she won’t mind me telling you she’s a bit of a cat lady.

Billy Johnson joined us two months ago as an Account Executive. He graduated with first-class honours in biochemistry, and spent the first years of his career immersed in the world of corporate and pharma advertising. Billy joined Pegasus with a passion for making science accessible and relevant to all. When he isn’t working on creative campaigns, Billy is frequenting the vibrant gig scene of nearby Manchester.

Our most recent addition is Trystan George, who as a Senior Account Executive completes the current Macclesfield team. Having entered the health PR industry as a graduate intern, he quickly advanced his career and experience by working across a variety of national and international accounts. He speaks fluent French, and outside of work is a keen cricketer and Plymouth Argyle FC groupie.

This is just the beginning of our Macclesfield story, and we’re excited about what the future will bring for our new location. For now, we will be settling into our new home and enjoying everything it has to offer.
